PerfectPaint FloorPrep seals mastics and allows you to install new carpet, LVP, and floating floors without the lengthy, expensive process of asbestos abatement. PerfectPaint FloorPrep is a complete sealer, paint, and primer in one. It can be applied directly over any clean surface including asbestos mastics, VCT tile, or cutback glues to prepare them for new luxury vinyl plank, carpet, and other floating floors. No scraping, grinding, solvents, soy gels or removal of mastics required. PerfectPaint saves time and money by reducing surface prep time, labor, and expense. PerfectPaint FloorPrep is designed to safely, legally, and effectively treat asbestos mastics within the EPA guidelines to not disturb mastics Once cured you can install your choice of floating wood floor, plank flooring, or sheet vinyl flooring, or use as a stand-alone floor paint for light foot traffic areas. How to use PerfectPaint: Clean floor using a mop or deck brush using Perfect – Cleaner as per instructions. Rinse with a mop or hose using clean water and allow to visibly dry before applying Perfect – Primer or PerfectPaint FloorPrep. Patch the floor using our Perfect – Patch or a modified patching cement. Small holes and cracks may be filled with an acrylic caulk. When floor is visibly dry, apply your first coat using a 1/2” roller. Do not allow product to puddle. Apply material without thinning. Once dry to the touch, apply the second coat. Allow 24-48 hours to dry. Full cure will take 5 days. Note: PerfectPaint FloorPrep is suitable for use as a standalone paint only in areas of light foot traffic. For heavier use areas, use Paint – Plus, our hard-wearing finish coat
