For permanent use in a workshop, use the four screw holes to affix the mount to a work bench or flat worktop surface. The mount eliminates the need to hold a knife clamp with hands, making knife sharpening safer and more comfortable. The design works with Lansky’s clamp to sharpen both sides of a knife without adjusting positions or changing sharpening equipment.
